LEON....WILL DIE A SLOW HORRIBLE DEATH IF...........

Good Morning :

I would like to take a few minutes of everyone's time to provide new information on Leon.

I feel that perhaps she may have been forgotten about.

She has become depressed, and has now developed a bad staph infection in both feet and legs. I will be ordering her cart today as well as two sets of Mukluks to keep her feet protected. She has great will and even out of her make shift cart she will try to get around by dragging herself, and then of course her feet are rubbed raw, and they have very little medical in Turkey. She is suffering and in pain.

 I will be opening a bank account this afternoon/tomorrow under the rescue's EIN. ALL donations for Leon should be sent directly to the bank....checks or money orders should be made out to Huskies To Love Siberian Rescue of Maryland Inc. in the memo put donation for LEON. The bank will notify either myself or one of the other two directors of the deposits and send us the information, we WILL send you a receipt for your donation to use for your taxes this year.

We are begging for your help and support for Leon....she still has bowel control, and only needs slight stim to empty her bladder. Her spine is broken at L1 and L2...and will need the cart for the remainder of her life, however; that in NO way means that she will not have quality of life. I will be speaking with the head of the Specialist Hospital here in Maryland should we locate her a home within this tri-state area.   We are also looking for a home in TN, near Moe and Triumph..... and will be working on setting up her care and working within the Rescue's budget and asking for large portions of her care to be donated.

 Should we become very fortunate and Leon gets a forever home here, I will not treat this as a regular adoption nor will we expect the adoptive home to foot this bill. There is serious negotiations ongoing to provide Leon the medical care she needs with minimal funds. In addition, I should have my letter from the IRS soon and that will help us to have fund raising events and ask larger corporations for help as well.

I know that not everyone here can help, but to those I ask that you please continue to cross post this mail to help us save this fur child from a long slow suffering death, and to get her here and get the life she deserves! Thank you.

PS. Our web site seems to have caught some kind of "virus", not certain how this occurred; I have contacted our web master asked him to address this matter ASAP...if you are having or have had trouble with it that is why... I can't even get Leon's new pictures posted.
