This 3 month old female pitbull pup was at Orange County Shelter, in horrible condition.  Pit Bull Rescue San Diego  has saved her and needs funds to help with her vet care.  It will take some time for her to heal.  Their email is listed below for contact/donations.

Dear All

Wonderful Michelle brought Hermione to me today and oh my.... I have NEVER seen a dog (let alone a puppy) in such a pitiful and painful condition. Her poor body was all cracked, with oozing sores and bleeding. Her feet are so swollen that they are almost twice the normal size and walking must be so painful for her.

And despite it all, her tail kept wagging...

She is a very, very sweet little girl with the most stunning amber eyes. She chomped down two bowls of puppy food without taking a breath, and then curled up on a duvet in her crate and promptly went to sleep.

I had a little cry when I held her in my arms as we took her to her foster home. So tiny and so in pain, yet so very, very sweet and loving... and her tail kept wagging. 

Her foster moms broke down when they saw her. They specialize in taking in 'broken' and abused puppies and Hermione seemed to break their hearts. She definitely has the mange and skin infection, and she also seems to have a respiratory infection.

Tonight she is sleeping in a HUGE crate with a warm, soft duvet, with a teddy bear and a humidifier to help her breathing.

She is on her way to a wonderful life, and she has the combined efforts of all of you to thank for it.
