Press Release

Donations needed for chem burned German Shepherd Jennifer Pryor, Pryor's Planet, is working with GSROC. Check back here for updates on this little guy.
This is the email that Jennifer received along with the photos. Jennifer did what she does so well and got people hopping all over the place...
Maria and Jennifer;
In 10 years as a police officer working South L.A. and doing rescues of injured, and abuse animals I have never seen anything like this. If you look at the "before" shelter photo back from Dec when he was adopted out and the photos of him now it's unbelievable that someone could do this to a dog.
This is obviously an intentional act, I believe the dog was either doused with an accelerant and set on fire or doused with chemicals. This is a gorgeous, still trusting 2 year old male GS. What disturbs me the most is that they are considering releasing it back to the owner!!! His excuse was that he was out of town when this happened. In whose care did he leave it?? This dog must never go back to it's owner and should be released to Rescue only and due to the fact that he urgently needs medical care, they should do it now and not let it linger in agony for weeks or months while they investigate. The dog has been here already since June 8!
Anyhow I want to let you know about this dog in the hopes that we can exert pressure to have them release the dog now!!

... a few hours later and the dog was rescued and taken to Community Veterinary Hospital for treatment. Jennifer had to go to the top to get this dog out of the shelter and to a great rescue organization, German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County.

or you can donate directly to Community Veterinary Hospital by phone with a credit card: 714-537-5390.
