purebred Eskimo in ISO with bite wound on neck S.L.A. Shelter Impound: A804589 South L.A. shelter phone (213) 485-0119 or 0117
This stunningly beautiful little 4-year old Eski was impounded as a terribly neglected stray with a bite wound on his neck that had become abscessed.

The shelter took him for surgery and he awaits a Rescuer to help him find a loving home where he will never have to wander the streets again.
When I went to his cage, even though clearly he must be in pain, he came to the front of the cage and licked my fingers through the bars. He then hung his head in sadness.
His hair is so matted and dirty but we were not able to groom him because of his wound. I took him out of his cage by putting a leash around his waist and leading him to the little outside area. The first thing he did was pee for about 5 minutes straight and then poop for another 5 minutes!!! To add to this poor dog's misery, he doesn't want to soil his cage by going to the bathroom in it. He justs wants to be comforted and softly pet on the head [probably the only part of his body that doesn't hurt right now]. Please let him recover in a loving environment rather than face death at the shelter.
