July 1, 2006: There will be thousands of seals brutaly murdered in Namibia, please spare a thought for these defenceless creatures and if you get time email anyone you can protesting against this terrible event. It may be too late for these babies but lets tell Namibia we will not allow them to get away with this annually as Canada does.

Over 335,000 harp seals were killed this year in Canada. The number of seals killed by sealers must be added to the number of seals that died from drowning due to the unusually poor ice conditions. How many seal pups survived this year? The DFO certainly doesn't know (and probably doesn't care).
