Air Conditioning Campaign, MO

Shelter in Missouri is under unbearable heat....
A girl scout troop had raised some funds from their recycling and purchased a stand up AC unit and dropped it at the shelter yesterday afternoon. They put it in the dog room with the door where it is soooo hot. Apparently the unit in the bite room is freezing up and it is over 100 degrees in there. Volunteers aren't allowed in there and I was told yesterday they had air. It is so frustrating dealing with these idiots! So I think we should shoot for the funds to get 4 units. The woman who called said she paid $429.00 for her unit which has AC, Heat, Humidifier and a fan. I know that is alot of money to try and raise but if we could even get 2 stand up units and two window units that would work.
"It is the puppy and bite room that I am so worried about. The bite room has NO air going and no ventilation. It has to be over 120 degrees in that room and every cage back there is full." Kendra
Pryor's Planet is offering half the funds to expedite this urgent need to help cool down these furry babies!

"It has been advised that when the air conditioners are purchased and taken to the
shelter that there be something in writing that they can not be sold or "borrowed" and are
solely for the purpose of keeping the animals comfortable." Sue
