Young German Shepherd Mix
Posted 07/26/2006
PryorsPlanet is actively seeking to help this guy.
Currently he is being fostered in the valley. His foster will take him to adoptions and post him on Petfinder. PryorsPlanet will post updates (including pictures) as they come in.
He isn't going to be neutered because he has a hot spot on his scrotum so the shelter is waiting until next month.
His story:
Originally at SLA shelter:
I am an unaltered male, tan German Shepherd mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years and 6 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 20, 2006.
I was at the shelter when this dog came in. I can't tell you what a SWEET SWEET dog this is. He was so scared and he didn't show ANY agression when the ACTs were trying to get him in the small cage. I met the couple that brough him in. They live in South Central and they have 3 strays that they are keeping. This was the 4th stray and they just couldn't keep him. They were feeding him but they brought him in. They said he is so timid and it was hard for them to get him in their car. I cried for this dog because he was so scared but he was so sweet and gentle to the men working at the shelter. You could tell that they felt so bad for him also. He has a brown leather collar but no microchip.
If someone adopts this dog they would have the best dog in the world. If you were there and saw what I saw you would understand. Yes I know they are all wonderful but I only saw this one. I went over to him in the wheeled cage and told him I would tell people about him he looked at me with the saddes eyes. One of the volunteers said that usually these dogs don't have a chance. I am really going to see if maybe he can!
I am having someone pick that dog up. He will be fostered in the Valley.
He still needs a home...if someone knows of one please contact me.
