Sweet Seniors, Newark NJ  - CROSSPOST

Right now, there are more than 50 animals listed on the AHS Newark Petfinder site - which is great, because everyone can see the wide variety of lovable animals available for adoption at the shelter.  With so many to choose from, though, I'm afraid some of the beautiful seniors there might get lost in the crowd.  So - just to highlight a few - here are some special pets to choose from:

Poor Butch came to the shelter as a stray. They think he is about 5 years young. He had nice manners when we met him to take his picture. All he wanted to do was play! He has a beautiful tri-color (black, brown, and white) coat. N43337

Tony is a male corgi mix.  PLEASE NOTE THAT "TONY" IS CURRENTLY IN RESIDENCE AT OUR UNION ANIMAL CARE CENTER LOCATED AT 980 JEFFERSON AVENUE IN UNION OFF OF ROUTE 22E BEHIND THE HOME DEPOT. FOR INFORMATION AND/OR DIRECTIONS, PLEASE CALL 908-810-1663. THE SHELTER IS OPENED EVERY DAY BUT WEDNESDAY FROM 12-4. Tony came to the Society as a stray and stayed for a few months until he was adopted. But, Tony had a little accident in the house..so after the weekend, it was back to the shelter for poor Tony. Tony is a delightful guy with a very sweet personality and a laid back kind of demeanor. He needs a new home with people who understand that sometimes...just sometimes...an accident might happen and, with a little love and patience, things will work out. But then they decided they couldn't keep me and I'm 10 years old. My name is Tyson--but I'm no fighter. I would love to have my senior years just a little brighter. Poor Tyson....imagine being dumped at a shelter after having a family for 10 years. It's so very hard to understand. Tyson deserved so much better. He is a sweet, mellow boy who just needs a place to spend his golden years. A place he will be loved..a place he can call home. Tyson is already neutered, housebroken and up to date on shots.
