CO: Pit bull saves boy from abduction
(WRITE TO DENVER OFFICIALS!)

Posted 07/28/2006

PLEASE READ EVERY WORD...

This is a great article to provide to the Denver mayor and city council members:
"Family on edge after child dodges kidnapping -- Dog [pit bull] scares suspect from back yard"

(Ft. Collins, CO)
Ask them to VIEW the video, too (link is under sketch). They will see that IF a pit bull (or any dog) is raised properly, the dog is a loyal and loving companion. They should also notice that the dog, shown wagging his tail and going after his ball, did stop the abduction but didn't even harm the kidnapper-to-be.
As far as their pit bull ban in Denver, the officials need to know that going after the PERPETRATORS (backyard breeders, dogfighters, those who chain and pen the dogs, who abuse and neglect them, etc.), NOT THE VICTIMS (the dogs), is what their laws should uphold.
REMEMBER! They just KILLED 36 pit bulls a week ago (the poor dogs had been held since May 29)!
As it says in the latest article, "Council Leader Softens His Pit Bull Stance," I see that in Rick Garcia's callous and robotic tone, "There should be other options than just terminating these animals," they are removed from the fact that the pitties are innocent, living, breathing, feeling beings. I hope they don't have kids b/c they are not setting a good example for right and wrong, or compassion.
THIS COMING MONDAY:
They are discussing the opportunity for pit bulls to be adopted
outside of Denver. While that is a step in the right direction, it's a bandaid.
They need to punish the deed, not the breed. They need to let the dogs stay in Denver, too.
HERE ARE THE E-MAIL ADDRESSES for the MAYOR and CITY OFFICIALS.
You can blast them with one click once you cut and paste!
