Harry is doing great!!  We took him to the dog beach in Coronado last week, and he had a grand time!!  It’s clear he is a very friendly guy—but he doesn’t like water!  He got close, but never put more than his toe in the water!  He made lots of new friends, though—and got lots of compliments from the doggies’ humans!  (Am attaching some pix!)  

I don’t think the crate is going to work out.  He is probably too old to start trying to train him to the crate now.  Little by little, he has gotten himself onto every couch and now, every bed, in the house!!  He sleeps with either our daughter or us now every night.
